Diploma in Fashion Design
Diploma in Fashion Design is designed to familiarize students with a general knowledge of the fashion, style, current fashion and trends, and the fundamental techniques of fashion design. During the course, students create their own fashion project, from the conceptual phases to the presentation of the sketched collection. Special attention is given to fashion illustration and sketching. Students experience the use of various mediums for rendering fashion designs, such as markers, color pencils and watercolor and creative process of design, developing ideas from different sources of inspiration and following updated fashion trends. Students perfect their visual communication and design skills on paper through drawing, then use their technical knowledge to create exciting, innovative and accurate fashion garments in fabric for showcasing in the fashion show held annually.
Diploma in Textile Design
This course includes the creative as well as the technical side of textile design. The basics of textiles combined with artistic ability engage the students in developing special techniques, which are then executed in the form of design development, texture formation, tie & dye, different types of prints, color discharge, embroidery, lace, quick sketch pattern and repeats. The textile lines are conceptualized onto mood boards with fabric stories, color tabs, fashion figurines and textile samples. The assessment methods used in the program are practical and written assignments, portfolio preparation, critiques, presentations and practical projects which are also presented through exhibitions. On successful completion, you will graduate with an essential range of creative skills and industry knowledge required to actively pursue your design ambitions.
Diploma in Interior Design
Diploma in Interior Design is an overview of the interior design profession. It introduces the student to the fundamental concepts of design, basic space planning and furnishing. Starting from the survey of an existing space, the student learns how to present it through drawings. From a simple room like a kitchen or a bathroom and ending with a small residential apartment, the student will face all the problems concerning designing; from drawing representation and the scale system, to the choice of materials and colors. Exercises and projects will be started in class under the supervision of the teacher and then continued and finished individually.
